Vimeo Etiquette

Last night a discussion between myself and SteveR took place on the vexed question of “like its” on Vimeo.

Steve says:
I should automatically click on “like it” for his latest effort, since he does on all of mine.

I argue that:
a) The number of “like it’s” are finite, and so should be reserved for videos that you consider in some way exceptional.
b) Giving them automatically to everything someone does just because they are your friend in the real world simply makes them meaningless.
c) SteveR is a “like it” whore.

Hurrah for the Socratic method!

I think it was Tina Mosh who said somewhere that she longs for the days when getting 10 digs (digs were replaced by likes) meant the world to her. I have that same feeling.
